Category A seats (50% of the sanctioned intake of the seats)

Competent authority seats: these seats shall be filled in through the counseling by the committee constituted by competent authority as per merit from the candidate who are qualified at NEET held by the government of India for that year following the rules of reservation.

Category B seats (35% of the sanctioned intake of the seats)

NEET Qualified ranking based managements seats:- the seats shall be filled through the counseling by the committee for admissions constituted by competent authority(Vice Chancellor of KNRUHS) as per the merit from the candidates who are qualified in NEET for that year. The committee constituted will include one nominee of TPMDCMA and director of Medical Education, T.S.Hyd. The Registrar KNR UHS will be convener KNR UHS officers will assist the selection committee. The Notification will be issued by the KNR UHS and admissions process will be completed as per schedule by the selection committee constituted by the Vice Chancellor

Category C seats (Category-C seats (15% NRI quota)

These seats shall be filled by the competent authority i..e, Vice Chancellor of KNR UHS through selection committee constituted for Category B-seats and notification will be issued by the KNR UHS from NEET qualified by NRI candidates. Eligibility criteria for NRI candidates admissions will be as per MCI regulations issued from time to time.

I) No of actual working days: 120 days per semester.

ii) Daily working hours:College - 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Hospital - 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Year of introduction of the new curriculum (of 1997). New Curriculum from inception of the Medical College.

Course of Study

Pre-Requisites for Admission:

The candidates should pass two years intermediate examination (10 + 2 pattern) or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology or Biology as optional which shall include a practical test in each subject and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology at the qualifying examination.

In respect of candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes the Marks obtained shall be a minimum of 40% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology.

Candidates possessing qualification of the University/Board of an institution outside the State should produce a Certificate of equivalence from the Registrar NTR University of Health Sciences, AP, Vijayawada.

Age of 17 years on or before 31st December of the year of admission.
