MediCiti Hospital At Ghanpur Village

MediCiti is a 16-year-old hospital. It is the first Cardio thoracic super speciality hospital in the entire Telangana. It has been in existence since 1992. In our efforts to make rural health care affordable to the people of Ranga Reddy Dist the hospital has been redesigned to cater to the local community needs. The hospital also conducts teaching programme as a part of Medical College which started functioning since yr 2002.

MediCiti provides promotive, preventive and curative services, Maternal and Child Health, Immunization, Control of Blindness due to Cataract, Population Control and Promotion of Reproductive Health

Imbued with a passion to serve the community and create a centre of excellence in medical education, a handful of forward - looking dynamic person, with a highly professional & enlightened industrial group to back up, established MediCiti Institute of Medical Science, initially, an undergraduate medical college at Ghanpur, Medchal Mandal, Ranga Reddy Dist of Telangana under Share Medical Care, a not-for-profit NGO,during 2001-2002.

The college spread over an area of 40 acres in the MediCiti campus of 200 acres, in lush greenery, hillocks & lake, only 30 km away from Hyderabad city, on Nagpur Highway No. 7.


MediCiti Hospital At Aliyabad Village

RHTC Aliyabad is situated about 9 kms from the MediCiti Institution of Medical Sciences, Ghanpur. With effect from 01st of May 2007, the RHTC has started functioning on its own. It caters to a population of about 110 villages in Shamirpet Mandal and other villages for preventive, promotive and curative services.

The recently built RHTC of ours is huge complex and one of its kind with built up area of about 21000 square feet and is spread in three floors. The ground floor accommodates out patient departments like General Surgery, pediatrics, General Medicine, Obstetric and Gynaecology services for males and females. X Ray room ( Regular & Portable), ECG room, Laboratory with all Biochemical investigations, 24 hrs Pharmacy facility, Minor OT, Injection Room, Dressing room, Labour room, Major OT and wards (both male and female) are on first floor and can also facilitate Interns training, kitchen, dinning hall, lecture demo room for MBBS students. Accommodation for interns (boys and girls) recreation room and store room are on second floor and also staff posted to RHTC including an assistant Professor.

It provides outreach activities to the surrounding villages in Paediatrics, Gynaecology & Obstetrics and Ophthalmology services. It also provides Super Specialties services regularly like

Friday             -    Orthopedics

This Centre helps for highway accidents to patients first aid treatment / stabilization to save life in Golden hour for availing medical treatment in higher centre safely. It is ideally built as per MCI specifications. The intern will be trained 24 hours for one month out of three months allotted for PSM internship. The interns will be trained to acquire field and practical knowledge in all the national health programmes including relevant surveys and collection of primary data from the field. They will be trained with specific reference to maternal and child health programmes and also in giving immunization. They will also encourage to do research activities. In case of emergency patient will be shifted to MediCiti, Ghanpur or chose of patient for further treatment throw our ambulance at free of cost.

RHTC is very useful for emergencies for the institutions which has come up recently in and around shamirpet like Bits Pilani, CRPG RAF, ICICI knowledge park, shanthi Biotech, Bharath Biotech, MARS, NALSAR University and some Resorts.
As a token of appreciation of various community services done by the MIMS, ovinda Shanmti Brinjrajka Trust of Aliyabad, Shamirpet came forward and donated us about an acre of land in Aliyabad, Shamirpet exclusively for developing a Rural Health Training Center and Clinic to the benefit of the rural poor as the clinic is to run on no profit basis. Mr. Ramesh Brinjraj the senior member of the Board of Trust himself took personal interest in the matter. In fact, today's Rural Health Training Centre and its activities would not have been possible without this self less act of Mr. Ramesh Brinjrajka and his trust.
